This was painted using the amazing guide from The Mighty Brush as a starting point, I used it as a reference for the bulk of the armour and to start the weathering. The tentacles are also based on the guide.
I then used the Pro-acryl metallics to do the weapons, chains and mail. I love how smoothly they go on and cover everything.
After nailing in the rust and weathering with a mix of Pro-Acryl and Citadel technical paints I moved on to the cloak which was done with Dark Grey Blue from Pro-acryl for the base color and their blue paint for edge highlights.
